Accounting Manager - Main Branch - 50th St. Tampa
Trax Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage our Accounting Department. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of accounting functions in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all relevant state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, managing investments, fixed assets, and performing essential closing entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
- Prepare and submit required reports, such as call reports, in accordance with regulatory standards. Maintain a thorough understanding of NCUA rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and manage the timely and accurate closing of financial records each month, including preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Analyze current accounting procedures and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and compliance, including adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act and other regulatory requirements.

Assistant Branch Manager - Main Branch - 50th St. Tampa
Trax Credit Union is seeking a knowledgeable, accomplished Assistant Branch Manager for our Tampa Main branch. Our branch managers are vital to accomplishing our mission of People Helping People so our standards are high. The ideal candidate for this job will have proven sales and leadership skills along with cash handling experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
- An Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of one year's experience in a financial institution.
- Proven proficiency in new accounts, consumer lending, and financial transactions.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (a plus, but not required).
Job Type: Full-Time hourly. Applicants must be available to work 40 hours weekly, 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Thursday, 8 am - 6 pm Friday, 9 am - 12 pm Saturday.

Branch Manager Trainee
The Manager Trainee position is designed to familiarize the candidate with the entire credit Union organization and its functions in preparation for placement as a Branch Manager, through classroom experience, on-the-job training. Trainees will receive cross-departmental training and assignments will provide functional as well as management experience. The candidates will participate in supervisory positions, and as a Member Service Rep or Loan Officer as much as possible.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a financial institution.
- 3+ years’ experience selling both in person and over the phone.
- 1+ year of cash handling experience.
- Participates in branch operations and functions including Teller, Member Service Representative, Lending and Staff Supervision.
- Functions as a teller, performing all related duties such as daily balancing and reports.
- Contributes to branches achieving goals and objectives.
- Adheres to member service standards, policies and procedures for all products and services.

Member Care Manager (Collections)

Desired Skills and Experience
- BA Degree preferred, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3-5 years in financial collections, skip tracing, or recovery, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong negotiation and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- High-level language and math skills, with the ability to interpret legal documents and calculate figures like interest and percentages.
- Dependable, flexible, accountable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Must maintain composure and communicate effectively with members and staff.

Full-Time Member Care Advocate - Collections
The basic function of this position is to analyze a member’s past payment record and the relationship with the Credit Union to develop the most effective approach to resolving delinquency. The Member Care Advocate is expected to pursue a course of action that will quickly and successfully motivate the member to pay in accordance with CU procedures, and the Mission, Vision, Values and Pledge to our shareholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop action plan to bring accounts current over time following the credit union policies.
- Maintain accurate concise documentation of member interaction, including plans for follow up and resolution of delinquency.
- Skip trace using available tools and agencies.
- Work Charged-off accounts for recovery.
- Receive calls from branches and help with members at those sites.
- Update insurance documents as needed for compliance.
- Use tools such as extensions, skip payment, lock account, and consolidation of loans to cure delinquency.
- Research misapplied payments or wrong due dates.
- Perform collection duties incompliance with Fair Debt Collection Act and other internal collection policies and procedures.

Provide information and member support concerning the credit union and its products and services to credit union members ensuring highest quality of member service. The position is responsible for recommending credit union products as appropriate to members

- High school diploma or equivalent
- +/- 1-year experience in a financial institution.
- 1-year experience selling both in person and over the phone.
- 6+ months experience in a Call Center work environment.
